We've removed a number of inconsistencies from our bounce handling and bounce forwarding procedures. We now better respect your envelope address, and forward more bounces and errors to your address.
The full bounce handling documentation can be found on our website: https://www.smtpeter.com/documentation/bounce-handling. In short, the way how we handle bounces comes down to the following:
- If you submit email with an envelope address, you will receive bounces
- If you submit email without an envelope address, you will not receive bounces
- If you enable the "trackbounces" feature, we add our own envelope address to intercept bounces (but we forward them to your envelope)
